A Home water purifier is as important as your groceries.  One can go without food for a few days but not without water. 

It looks like water contamination and its removal is talked about by almost every industry.  Be it those who are into water purifying business or those that has byproduct disposal problem.

If you're having a gastrointestinal problem, it may not be from what you ate last night, but from the water you drank instead.  A waterborne disease can be "untreatable, persistent, and even fatal, People today want better-tasting and better-smelling water, and they're willing to pay for it.

Chlorinated water leaves behind chemicals that have been proven to cause cancer.  These chemicals are even recognized as dangerous and are regulated by the EPA

Most filtration systems work fine but people might be talked into an expensive whole-house system they don't really need. 

To save money one can go for self installed home water purifier system but in self-installed systems, if you don't routinely change the filters, you could wind up creating an even bigger problem with bacteria than the one you may be trying to avoid in the first place.

From a health standpoint, if you're healthy and your water comes from a major municipal source or water treatment company, then you should have nothing to worry about. The NRDC notes that public water systems must regularly test water for bacteria, filter and disinfect it, and meet standards for minimum levels of certain chemicals.

Distillation, ozonation, and UV light are the only proven methods to protect against microorganisms and waterborne pathogens in a home water purifier. "Filtration and reverse-osmosis systems are not enough to ensure the safety of drinking water.
